PM Modi told the benefits of Vrikshasana Yoga
Prime Minister Narendra Modi did his third asana on International Yoga Day, in which he told the benefits and methods of doing Vrikshasana. What is Vrikshasana?
In this asana, the position of your body becomes stable, taut, and strong like a tree. You can do this yoga daily. It is called Vrikshasana because the position of your body becomes like a tree while doing this yoga. And it is called Tree Pose in English.
Method of doing the tree pose:
- First of all, stand straight with your feet at a distance of two inches from each other.
- Keeping your full attention on a point in front of your eyes, while exhaling deeply, slowly raise your right leg and place its toes on the inner thigh of your left leg.
- Take special care of one thing, your heel should be adjacent to your perineum area.
- Once stabilized in this position, slowly take a deep breath, spread your arms and take them over your head and stand in the namaskar posture.
- Breathe normally in this position and exhale and stand for 10 to 30 seconds.
- After this, you bring the hand back down and while keeping the right foot on the ground, stand straight and take a long deep breath, and release.
- Now repeat your entire sequence with your left leg.
- If you are troubled by arthritis, dizziness, and obesity, then you should not do Vrikshasana.

Take these precautions during its practice

But if you have high blood pressure, practice Vrikshasana in moderation and keep your hands close to the chest during the exercise, do not raise them above the head. And avoid doing this asana even if you have vertigo or migraine problem.
